Founded in 1987, Air Consult Engineering (ACE) grew primarily as a design company for mechanical/electrical installations and equipment in the Building sector (real estate, banks, insurance, …).
ACE contributed to large well-known projects in Brussels, such as the Belgacom Towers, the Pegasus Park in Diegem, the renovation of the Dexia “Pacheco” building, the Beaulieu Building in Auderghem, KBC Headquarters in Brussels…
From 1995, the activities have been diversified towards the Pharmaceutical Industry, where the company gained rapidly the recognition of its technical expertise for clean rooms, animal houses, laboratories and related equipment (incubators, decontamination processes, isolators...)
ACE has now numerous references with major pharmaceutical companies such as GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines, Pfizer, UCB-Pharma, Baxter BioScience, Lilly, Zoetis, Innogenetics, Catalent, MDS-Nordion.
From 2010, ACE diversified in the Healthcare Sector, with the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels, UZ Leuven, CHR Namur, CHU Liège, CH Huy, CHU Charleroi, for the design and construction of critical areas (pharmacy, human body materials…).
In the Biotech sector, ACE provided assistance to start-up companies active in Cell Therapy (Bone-Therapeutics and Promethera) for the construction of their GMP manufacturing facilities.
ACE helps organizations for the early project definition (GMP-PIC/S Consultancy), the design, construction, commissionning and qualification/validation of Specialized Facilities with High Level of Constraints (mostly related to Contamination Control) and along their life-cycle (maintenance, audits…).
Through its projects, ACE has been recognized as a pioneer in the Rationale Use of Energy through miscellaneous applications: heat recovery, heat pumps, ice storage, lighting management, free-cooling,…. From 2006, ACE is certified as “Energy Expert” by the “Région Wallonne” (AMURE, PEB…).
In 2009, ACE has been certified ISO 9001.
The company staff totalizes presently 50, and has a turnover of € 5,3 MM and an average annual growth of 20% since 2005. Initially located in Brussels, the company moved in February 2005 in the Gosselies Aéropôle.
